The arrival of infants is a deeply personal and intimate time for families. Each and every infant arrival is unique, therefore a maternity nurse is required to be somebody who is professional, respectful, knowledgeable and caring.
A maternity nurse needs to show warmth and understanding towards the family during the childbearing period, and be there to support them through the pregnancy, labour and for a period of time after the birth. This creates a safe and nurturing environment for the new baby to thrive in. Maternity nurses provide their extensive experience and knowledge to allow parents to feel confident and supported during this unique period of their life, and facilitate the bonding between parents and their infants.
A maternity nurse will respond to your requirements and provide you with a bespoke service to accompany you in the choices you make for your baby, whether you opt for breastfeeding or bottle feeding; routine feeding or on demand feeding and all other decisions regarding the wellbeing of your child. Full time maternity nurses can assist you with preparing feeds, feeding, bathing, changing and settling the baby while also taking care of the baby’s laundry and nursery.
Our clients, as well as the Maternity nurses who work with us, come from all over the world. If you have a language preference, let us know and we will put forward maternity nurses who speak the required languages only.
All of our maternity nurses who have qualifications such as the MNT or NEST certificates, must have a DBS check and a paediatric first aid certificate as well as an enhanced CRB disclosure. Most of them will have additional qualifications in the following; child care, nursing and midwifery qualifications, and can be OFSTED registered.
We carry out an in depth vetting process with every child carer we work with, including:
We also have paediatric nurses, neonatal nurses, community midwives, health visitors and hospital based midwives who work through us as full time maternity nurses and nightly maternity nurses.
